PH Neutralizer

Whole Home PH Balancing System

Prevent Corrosion and Plumbing Damage

The PH Neutralizer system uses an up-flow calcite process to raise the pH of acidic water, helping to protect your plumbing, fixtures, and appliances from corrosion and pinhole leaks. As acidic water flows through the natural calcite media, it dissolves just enough to neutralize the water’s aggressiveness—without the need for chemicals or electricity. It’s a natural, reliable solution for homeowners dealing with low-pH well water. You'll see fewer stains, cleaner water, and better protection from the ground up.

PH Neutralizer: Calcite-Based Up-Flow System for Acidic Well Water Correction

Balance Your Water, Protect Your Home

Acidic water might not be visible, but over time it can cause extensive damage to your plumbing, appliances, and even your health. At Pure Water Choices, we recommend the PH Neutralizer System — a simple, natural solution that restores balance to your water by neutralizing acidity before it reaches your pipes and fixtures.

This system is ideal for homeowners on well water who need to correct low pH levels and protect their investment in plumbing, appliances, and filtration systems.

What Is a PH Neutralizer System?

The PH Neutralizer is a 10 x 54 Up-Flow Calcite Water Neutralizer built into an Enpress Vortex tank. It uses a dissolving calcite media to raise the pH level of acidic water as it flows upward through the tank. This process helps:

  • Prevent pinhole leaks and pipe corrosion
  • Eliminate blue/green staining in sinks and tubs
  • Improve water taste and clarity

Calcite is a natural calcium carbonate mineral, safe for drinking water and NSF-certified.

Note: Raising the pH level may also increase water hardness slightly. In most cases, a water softener is recommended after the neutralizer to ensure balanced water throughout your home.

How the System Works

  1. Water Enters the Tank: Acidic well water flows into the bottom of the up-flow tank.
  2. pH Correction: As it moves upward, water passes through the calcite media which dissolves slowly and raises the pH.
  3. Neutralized Water: Treated water exits the top of the tank with a more balanced, non-corrosive pH level.

The up-flow design ensures optimal contact time with the media while minimizing backwashing and maintenance.

Key Features & Benefits

Natural, Chemical-Free pH Correction

No harsh chemicals or complicated controls—just safe, natural calcite.

Long-Lasting Media

Calcite media typically lasts 3 to 8 years, depending on your water chemistry and usage. Media can be refilled without replacing the entire tank.

System Protection

Protects plumbing, appliances, and downstream filtration systems like water softeners, UV systems, and iron filters.

Low Maintenance

Minimal upkeep required. Calcite replenishment is easy and infrequent.

Designed for Whole-Home Use

Perfect for households using well water or rainwater catchment systems with low pH.

FAQs About the PH Neutralizer

Will this system make my water hard?

Possibly. As calcite dissolves, it adds calcium to the water. If hardness is an issue, we recommend pairing this system with a water softener.

Does it need electricity?

No. This is a non-electric, passive system that works through natural up-flow water pressure.

How often does the media need to be replaced?

Most homes need to replenish calcite every 3 to 8 years, depending on water usage and pH level.

How do I know if I need a pH neutralizer?

If your pH is below 6.8, you’re at risk for corrosion. We can test your water and recommend solutions.
